Fanscape Industry Fast Facts
June 2007

Happy Summer everyone. Things are great here. We're having incredible success working on television shows (Criss Angel, Rescue Me), summer festivals (Bonnaroo, Projekt Revoloution), mobile projects (EA Mobile Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, Razz, Rabble), and so much more.  Speaking of exciting things going on this summer, be sure to check out the Live Earth SOS music event on July 7 (7/7/07).  It will be televised on every NBC channel and streamed live on MSN.  For me it's heaven, Roger Waters and Taking Back Sunday on the same stage!!!  Have a great summer, keep cool, and please feel free to call us any time. -- Larry

Facts For Your Next Meeting

Here are a few interesting stats popping up about consumer behavior online:

Consumers are more likely to convert after viewing ads on multiple websites; therefore, it would be more accurate for marketers to attribute conversions to a full set of impressions and/or clicks rather than the current industry standard of attributing all online conversions to the last impression (or last "click").
48% of consumers who had made a purchase in the previous month said the internet drove initial awareness, 57% said they learned more using the internet, and 56% made the final purchase decision using the internet.
48% of tweens and teens report they learn about new entertainment mainly through social networks, review and video sites, and blogs.

School's Out For Summer
Intern Insight

Our summer crop of college interns is here, and we thought we'd pass along some interesting tidbits about the group's online behavior.

The Fanscape interns:

Spend an average of 2.3 hours online daily for pleasure
100% have laptop computers, which they use to access the internet all over campus
60% have both MySpace AND Facebook accounts that they update regularly
75% forward interesting online videos to friends regularly

Erica (Intern Insight)"I'm really loving the explosion of different online sites right now! I usually hit up Facebook, Myspace and online blogs like Livejournal every day and keep an eye out on them for news about my favorite bands, hot new products or the dish on what's happening in the world. Over the last couple years I've been spending more and more time on the internet since I keep discovering sites that I can't go a few days without checking -- and Flickr.com and lastfm.com are the only way I manage my photos and music since they came up with great facebook applications!"
