Dear Calling Fans,
Hello! As some of you may have heard, The Calling will be going on hiatus for a while. The Calling has been and will continue to be most important to us and we will be returning soon! In the meantime, both Aaron and I will be pursuing other projects. Please continue to check the site for individual updates as well as exciting new Calling products...already in the works! 5/31/05 - About my Dad's movies...from Alex
Hey guys and girls! I just wanted to let everybody know what my crazy movie-making Dad is up to these days! I’m very proud of him and I will actually be writing a song with him for his upcoming movie “DOLL GRAVEYARD”! We’re also developing an awesome TV show together! For those of you who don’t know him, Charles Band has made over 250 films in the last 30 years and is known as “The King Of The B Movies”. You might have heard of some of his most popular titles from the past or even rented them at your local video store. Well, he is back making the same crazy, unique horror movies like the Puppetmaster Series, Re-animator, Subspecies and Trancers. The first feature coming out in June on the new Wizard label is “DECADENT EVIL”. After that for Halloween will be “DOLL GRAVEYARD” and then a classic film starring Gary Busey running around as a killer cookie called “GINGERDEAD MAN”! My Dad’s devoted fans around the world are right up there with mine and you can get a good look at what they’re all fawning over at fullmoondirect.com. Enough great movies to keep you busy for years, toys that even adults would like to have creeping around on their desks and even an amazing 6 disk DVD set that teaches you all the tricks of the trade to create your own B movie empire! 5/19/05 - Surprise and Letter from Alex!!!
Hey guys:) I know things have been pretty quiet from me, since I’ve been busy creating new music and other great stuff…so, I thought I’d dig through my past and give you all a treat while you wait! Well, a few treats, to be exact. The first one that you’re getting now is the very first music video I ever did for a song called “Dormant Prayer”. My friend Jethro and I wrote the song and recorded the video ourselves over 10 years ago! Our duo group was called “Maybe Solitude”. This thing is soooo funny!!! I’m about 12 years old in it, but totally acting it up like I would now. I’m so glad Jethro dug this video up for us all; it’s really an important piece of my history. Now remember, I was only 12, and this song and video is about being an inmate on death row, on the way to being executed! What was going on in my tiny little brain?! I don’t know. I guess its still pretty tiny…Uh, anyway, I hope you all enjoy it! There will be more treats on the way to keep you busy like me! The band and I are really looking forward to these two shows in June. I’ve taken all your requests for a set list in consideration and it will definitely end up being a loooong show! Hey, and I get to write a tour diary…granted it will only be for two days. But, we all know how much crazy stuff can happen in just two days! So, enjoy, and I’ll speak to you all soon! All the love…

Hello all Calling fans!!! Although things have seemed quiet from me, there is A LOT in the works and I have been crazy busy! I’ve been working on amazing new music, doing performances on TV shows that will soon be aired, modeling for top magazines, and acting, yes acting! I also have some good news for US fans! The Calling will be doing two shows in the beginning of June!!! One in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Silverton Casino on June 3rd, and another at the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival in Temecula, California on June 4th. The band and I are extremely excited to play and hope Calling fans from all over the country will try to make it to these shows! We will be playing all the favorites of course, but I would like to make this extra special by having all the fans of The Loft vote on what songs we should play, so you all hear exactly what you want! If you’re not a member of The Loft, now is the time to become one! I hope everyone is doing well and I’ll see you soon! All the love…

2/14/05 - Message from Alex!
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!!! Sorry I haven’t been in here to give you an update lately, but things have been crazy and I have been extremely busy writing some awesome new music! This record is winding down now and we have all done a great job and worked really hard on it, so a big thank you to everyone! I’m sorry to say that there will be no more touring on this record as of now:( I am mostly sorry to our American fans who never really got a proper chance to see me perform here in the states with the whole band…But don’t fret! I will be out again soon enough with new material! I’ll keep you all posted on what is happening in the weeks to come. I mostly just wanted to say Happy Valentine’s Day and thank you, thank you, thank you, for all your continued support, hard work and love…I will never stop making music for you all as long as you still want it! 07/26/04 - IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM ALEX
Hey everyone! The band and I have been having the time of our lives out there on the road, and it’s all thanks to you! Each show has been a rush and I can’t even tell you how good it feels to be back doing what I love. There are so many things in the works right now that are really exciting for the near future and many, many tours for us being planned all around the globe. As life always somehow manages to do…in the midst of all that is great right now comes some bad. Due to an illness in my family, and the small amount of precious down time I have, I am forced to move our upcoming month of American touring in August to another time not yet determined. It was an extremely hard decision for me, but family and love comes first in my life and I have to be there for this moment. I’m aware that some of you have already made plans and bought plane tickets and purchased concert tickets too, and I am extremely sorry. I promise I will make it up to you all and we will be rebooking an even bigger and better American tour soon. We’ll be getting you all a revised touring schedule for the upcoming months which will be now starting in Canada (finally!), and will include a Japan tour, a Brazil tour, another big tour through Europe, and of course American headlining shows and American radio show dates as well. You all have been so good to us throughout the past 3 years and with every new day that passes, I always remind myself of how lucky I am to have such great fans. Again, I am so sorry and I will make it up to each and every one of you! The band and I are looking forward to getting back out there and seeing you all soon! All the love…

06/11/04 - Letter from Alex & Aaron to ALL TC Fans!
Dear Calling Fans,
Here is our new website for our new record Two! We are so beyond happy now that our new record is out everywhere across the globe and doing so well already! We can’t wait to hear what you all think. We want you all to be the first to know that in this exciting time, there comes a difficult decision which has been made between Aaron and I that will surprise you all. Please rest assured that it’s better for everyone this way. Aaron has decided to step away from the visual and touring side of our band and concentrate on what he loves most, which is writing and producing. We are completely unified with this decision and it will not affect the friendship or the partnership that Aaron and I have had for over 8 years and will continue to have for many more to come. Aaron will still be half of The Calling, creating the music and all that comes along with it by my side. You can consider him now to be the mysterious behind the scenes musical genius driving The Calling with me.
We are now really looking forward for you all to meet the new band we’ve put together and welcome them to The Calling circle. We are surrounded by friends new and old! Drummer Justin Meyer has been our friend since kindergarten! Guitarist Justin D'Errico is incredible!!! A great player and friend from Charlottesville, Virginia who truly loves every note of the music that he plays! Justin’s friend Corey Britz is rocking out on keys and our new bassist, "V", just plain sounds cool!! Someone with a one-letter name to play in the band!!! And finally, our friend for a short while now, Daniel Damico, on guitar, will be there energizing our music in so many ways! He is a great friend to us both, a faithful Calling fan, and a talented musician! We are really blessed to be surrounded by such a great band!
We appreciate all of your continued support through this and are really excited to start our world tour finally for this new record. There is a lot ahead of us, countless countries to visit and thousands of fans to see, and we couldn’t be any more ready to do it! We’ll be seeing you all soon! All the love…
